Plans for new flights to India
May 18, 2006A new airline providing Heathrow with flights to India may be in operation by the end of the year.
Businessman Dave Bance hopes to launch BanceAir with a fleet of four leased Boeing 777s and offer three flights a day to destinations in India that few airlines currently serve.
According to Express Travel World, BanceAir has secured a scheduled airline license from the UK’s civil aviation authority.
Currently many airlines fly to the popular cities of Mumbai, New Delhi and Bangalore, although Dave Bance has not said which destinations he intends to serve.
One of the key reasons behind his plans is the popularity of flights between the UK and India so that people can visit family and friends, with a rise of 21 per cent in such trips since 1999.
