KLM to unearth Amsterdam's 'hidden gems'
March 7, 2006
There's more to Amsterdam than just tulips, windmills and coffee shops.
That'll be the message from KLM when it launches a new web page designed to alert Brits to the "hidden gems" of the Dutch capital.
To help transmit its message, the Dutch carrier is enlisting the help of five top DJs and designers, each of whom will dispense handy hints and tips on how to get the best out of the city.
The information will be available on a dedicated section of KLM's website, which will be updated each Friday as a new celebrity has their say.
"Whether you're looking to discover the hideouts of the stars, dance 'til dawn or seek out some of Holland's hidden gems, this guide will provide the inside track for a truly unique break in one of Europe's most exciting cities," KLM said in a press release seen by Internet Travel News.
First up is DJ Carl Cox, who'll provide pearls of wisdom on Amsterdam's club scene.
Superstar deck-spinner DJ Sander Kleinenburg will offer his thoughts next week, with "exclusive testimonials" to follow from leading designers Frank Tjepkema, Warmenhovan and Vanderbros and Frank Tjepkema.
