Sierra Nevada ski trips made easy
December 21, 2005Skiers eyeing up a trip to the Sierra Nevada are being offered a cheap and easy way to reach the southern Spanish mountain range from Malaga Airport.
Easirent Motorhome Rental has launched a new scheme in which winter sports fans arriving at the airport can travel up into the mountains in a luxury motorhome.
The company will take care of everything from organised trips, to campsite bookings and lift passes. The Sierra Nevada ski and snowboarding resort is just two hours drive from Malaga.
Easirent offers a similar service for tourists on sun breaks in the region.
Customers will even have the option of skiing down the Sierra Nevada's 3,000 metre peaks in the morning and then driving to the beach in the afternoon.
The right-hand drive motorhomes contain between four and six berths and come fully equipped. Bedding is provided at a small extra cost.
The company believes its service will convince more tourists to turn their backs on expensive ferry crossings from the UK to Spain in favour of low-cost flights.
easyJet is among the low-cost airlines currently serving Malaga, while Flybe recently announced it will begin flying to the Spanish city from Norwich.
