Flybe rattles Sabre for e-ticket push
December 14, 2005Low-cost airline Flybe has launched an e-ticket partnership with Sabre travel agents, with the aim of improving the booking and ticket collection experience of its passengers.
Under the deal, Sabre travel agents and tour operators can issue electronic tickets for all Flybe flights.
The no-frills airline also hopes this will "streamline" customer processing at the airport.
"We believe this latest enhancement will make the booking process as efficient, smooth and cost effective as possible for all parties," said Flybe's Linzi Hill.
"We are dedicated to improving our booking services and sales initiatives with our travel trade partners and to making the customer experience of travelling with us as hassle-free as possible."
Carrying a projected 5.5 million passengers this year and operating 99 routes, Flybe claims to be the UK's leading non-London centric budget airline.
With hubs in Southampton, Norwich and Exeter, the no-frills airline recently unveiled a spate of new European routes beginning next summer, including flights from Southampton to Avignon and Angers.
