MyTravelLite offers more flights this autumn
August 11, 2005British no-frills airline MyTravelLite will offer passengers a wider choice of flights and destinations from November this year.
The airline currently offers cheap flight deals from Birmingham International Airport to ten Spanish holiday destinations as well as Faro, in the Portuguese Algarve region.
From November 1, 2005, MyTravelLite will expand to offer passengers flights from a large number of airports in the UK.
It is teaming up with its parent company, My Travel, which specialises in package holidays.
My Travel is hoping to tap into the demand for low-cost flights by expanding MyTravelLite's flights and destinations.
At present, My Travel sells flights for a number of charter airlines, including Manos and Airtours.
From November, MyTravelLite will operate flights from 11 UK airports – Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Leeds-Bradford London Gatwick, London Stansted, Manchester, Newcastle and Nottingham East Midlands.
As well as flying to a number of new destinations in Spain and Portugal, the no-frills airline will also fly to Naples in Italy, Malta, the Moroccan resort of Agadir and Monastir in Tunisia.
Passengers will also be able to fly MyTravelLite to nine Greek island-resorts, as well as three Aegean destinations in Turkey.
The airline is also planning to offer a number of cheap trans-Atlantic flight deals to Toronto, Vancouver and Calgary in Canada, Las Vegas and Orlando in the US, Montego Bay in Jamaica and La Romana and Puerto Plata in the Dominican Republic.
MyTravelLite has so far carried 2.5 million passengers on flights from Birmingham.
It hopes the new expansion will enable it to become the UK's leading low-cost airline.

Hi, I have holiday accomodation in Malta and have to book own flights for 2 any time in next 12 months. Would it be best to book early or late? Like to get "cheap as chips" from Cardiff, Wales or Bristol.
